CRA’P collaborations 2018/2019
CRA’P collaborates with Nassara Space organizing massages and treatments of Kalari and Ayurveda by Lakshman Gurukkal and Akshay T S due to the visit of the center KALARIGRAM of Auroville, India.
This treatments system is under the tradition of Kalaripayattu and Ayurveda.
In 2018 you can get massages from 11 to 15 June from 12h to 15h.
In 2019 you can get the massages and the possibility to do a 7 days treatment. It will be from 2 to 12 July from 12h to 15h in Nassara Space (Masnou).
MASSAGES AND TREATMENTS KALARI AND AYURVEDA
The Kalarippayattu legacy has got a unique way of harmonizing the entire biological system of the body by applying various therapeutic massaging techniques. The different modalities are used for maintaining good health, strengthening the body environment, and for treating various afflictions of musculoskeletal and neurological origins.
The Kalari Uzhichil massage is a full body massage done by foot. It enhances the circulation of the body fluids and activates its lymphatic system, and helps to purify it. Develops a perfect path for the flow of vital energy in the body.
The Ayurveda Abyangm Massage is a full body massage done with the hands, that follows the fundamental principles of the Ayurveda medicine. The traditional massages and treatments of Ayurveda medicine purify and improve the blood circulation in the body and its irrigation.
The 7 days Kalari Massage Treatment is practiced by the integration of nerve centres with the six fundamental points on the body, the five primary elements of the earth, the thridoshas, and the anatomy and physiology of the person. This massage before any kind of Ayurveda or Kalari treatment enables the body to develop its self-reacting mechanism. By doing this massage therapy the person can eliminate many kinds of body pains and physical disorders.

Lakshman Gurukkal is one of the few rare and revered Gurus of Kalaripayattu, Ayurveda and Tantra. Following the tradition of family lineage, he had started learning Kalaripayattu at the tender age of 5 under the tutelage of his father Guru Veerasree Sami Gurukkal. In this growing years, he also learnt from his father the art and science of Ayurveda. He has been awarded by the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India, with the title of Senior Fellowship (in Kalaripayattu and Natyashastra). He has a post graduate degree in Advaita Vedanta from Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, a Deemed University under the Ministry of Human Resource Development in New Delhi. He worked as a Lecturer in Martial Art at the Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady, Kerala. He is the director of Hindustan Kalari Sangam, the family centre in Calicut, Kerala. In 2010, he founded Kalarigram in Auroville, Tamil Nadu, an international Kalari treatment and research centre to empower future generations with a foundation of focus and clarity into ancient wisdom and its tools, to build a response-able human being.
Akshay T S trains and learns Kalaripayattu and Ayurveda with Lakshman Gurukkal, Shatrughnan Gurukkal and Radhika Gurukkal at the Hindustan Kalari Sangam centre, Calicut, Kerala, and is a high-level practitioner who has participated in numerous presentations, demonstrations and contests in India.
The KALARIGRAM centre is based in Auroville, Tamil Nadu, India. It is structured as a holistic Kalari gurukulam, and was founded by Lakshman Gurukkal in 2010.
