CRA’P seminars 2014
INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR
The main aim of the seminar is to bring together a small group of participants to rethink contemporary art practice in relation to the imaginaries of “displacement”.
Within this framework, CRA’P proposal is to offer two of the planned activities for those interested in exploring artistic practice understood as mobility, process flow and transmission.
TAHANOUT, MOROCCO
From 7th. to 15th. of June with Toni Serra *) Abu Ali and Carme Torrent
Toni Serra *) Abu Ali and Carme Torrent will lead this encounter beginning with reflections and experiences based on the notion of vision and what this transit opens in the body when we are substracted from the hypnotic flow of stimulating images. Witnessing experiences that become crossed images of the real and poetic devices. The intimate visions that unfold in between the states of wakefulness, sleep and dreaming.
BARCELONA, SPAIN
From 27th. of June to 6th. of July with Montse Romaní
Montse Romaní will coordinate this encounter exploring as a starting point the intersections between art/context/body/city through its performative dimension; recognizing the enormous potential that collective action has demonstrated in the transformation of social relations and power. To investigate these issues, a network of collaborations and exchanges with different spaces, agencies, groups and platforms all located in Barcelona and surroundings will be set up, which in recent times have been trying out forms of creative and political interventions in the everyday life of the territory.
