THE LITTLE UNKNOWN

The Colectiva 9 Gramos draws its creative base from the investigation of genealogy and the persistent desires of the subconscious to develop specific symbols that are currently running through us, and help us to understand who we are and where we come from. In developing our pieces, we use languages coming from dance, theatre and contemporary circus, reaching points of confluence.

The Colectiva 9 Gramos has as its principle the creation of interdisciplinary performative works as well as experimental audiovisual work. Formed by Joyce Islas, actress and dancer, together with Mariana Fernández, circus artist and dancer. Together they are creators and performers of the show “Lo Pequeño Desconocido” performed at Teatro Helénico, Cracovia 32, Cirko de Mente, El Albergue del Arte and La Nana Conarte in CDMX, Foro Periplo in GDL, Festival Casa Abierta, Foro La Locomotora and Foro Mermejita in Oaxaca, and Teatro J J Herrera in Xalapa. With this piece they were awarded the first prize for artistic works in the BOEART 2020 Festival in Germany and the ENARTES 2021 FONCA programme.
