IL Y A LONGTEMPS QUE JE N’AI PAS ÉTÉ AUSSI CALME

Each project/creation gives birth to the next one. As a continuity of the two previous works, the solo “Mahalli” in which I was attempting to consider the body as one’s first and essential territory, and later in “Mes mains sont plus agées que moi”, where the act of killing, the triangular relation between the murderer, the victim and the witness is interchangeable, comes now the “Madness” in a continuous “becoming” as a result of the violence we are living in, and sometimes even born in.

We are constantly on the border of becoming mad, in a way-out/way-in between containing and expanding over ourselves. In this becoming, many layers of body states appear, anger, solitude, revolt but also fatigue and exhaustion. In these contradictory tensions, an evolution of a cold violence between our two bodies will appear through details. It is an attempt to consider the expansive expressions of « madness » by condensing them.

Danya Hammoud: Studied Theatre in Lebanon and Dance in France. Was co-founder of Zoukak Theatre Company with whom she worked from 2007 till 2014. Started developing her choreographic work in 2007. Her dance performances include: Meen el Battal? 2007/ F.A.Q. with Antonio Tagliarinin in the frame of “sites of imagination” project, 2007/ S’approcher, in the frame of the “miniature” project proposed by L’officina, 2010/ Mahalli, produced by CNDC (France) and Cocoondance (Germany), 2011/ Mes mains sont plus âgées que moi, produced by the association of the CDC in France, 2014 / Quatorze tours, produced by CCN Roubaix, 2015.

Carme Torrent: She comes from architectural and choreographic fields. Her last works try deepening the plurality of modes of existence. As a performer has collaborated  with the choreographers  Min Tanaka and  Xavier le Roy.
