HAVE A NICE TRIP

Have a Nice Trip is a solo that explores the idea of the rebirth, the conception and nature of the cycle of life.

This solo takes as a base a short piece Nuria Guiu created in 2009 within a framework of open workshops (Try in House I) at Carte Blanche Dance Company (Norway). The solo works physically in the loosening and release of the “form”, the body. Works with amorphous images that construct and deconstruct the external appearance. Looks for the relationship between the internal and the surface.

Núria Guiu Sagarra  starts classical dance at Marta Pons School in Mollet del Vallès. In 2001 discovers the contemporary dance world through Lucía Sanchez Salinas and the space La Serradora. She graduates at Institut del Teatre de Barcelona and becomes member of the young company ITDansa. Works with different dance companies such as: Batsheva Dance Company, Carte Blanche and  La Veronal. Lately she has workes as a choreographic assitent of a german choreographer called Arco Renz.
