Artist residency project with the support of Iberescena Fund for choreography creation.

Inside the care we found freedom. Inquiring freedom we confront the ideia of humanity. Where is the body transported when the ideia of freedom loses its meaning? These three weeks for residency in CRAP is destined to development the start mechanisms for choreography for two contemporary dance pieces: “Micro Cenas para um grande ato”, for children, and “Como Folha em Alto Mar a Sotavento”, for adults. The research inquires the concept of freedom and how it writes in the relationships between living beings.

Andrea Elias is actress and dancer, Master in Performing Arts, specializing in Aesthetic Education, degree in Performing Arts. All her academic background was in Rio de Janeiro, in the Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, in the Escola de Dança Angel Vianna and in the National Circus School. Director and choreographer of Cia de Dança Teatro Xirê who founded in 2003. In Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), Cia de Dança Teatro Xirê is precursor producing contemporary dance for children.
