Thursday 3rd of July at 19:30
Cultural Center La Marineta – Mollet del Vallès

CRA’P presentaCOLLECTIVE LEARNING: Female Imaginary in revolt”. Dialogue between Montse Romaní and the visual artist Raquel Friera.

In 2011, Raquel Friera produced a sound installation that was heard in different locations of the public space in Istanbul, in which different female voices were demanding a greater presence of Turkish women in the public sphere. In 2013, the artist takes up the experience in Prat de Llobregat (Barcelona) in collaboration with thirty women fom diverse backgrounds and socioeconomic status. The title ‘Space of Possibles’ that names the two named experiences, will serve us as starting point to rethink the relationship between citizenship and public space in the current conditions of capitalist globalization.

Montse Romaní, researcher and cultural producer based in Barcelona (Spain). Her professional work is at the crossroads between artistic research and teaching, audiovisual programming and analysis of cultural policies. She is currently studying a PhD in Arts and Education at the University of Barcelona. She is an active member of two research groups: Subtramas – a platform for research and co-learning related to the collaborative practices of audiovisual production and SUB – the U society of Barcelona, with which has directed the documentary: ‘MACBA, The right, the left and the rich’.
