SOL INTERIOR (INNER SUN)

Sol interior [Inner sun] is a new dance of death that invokes the existence of two abysses: that of nothingness and the one that lies in my breast (Mallarmé). Melodrama is a defence of the defilement, of the appearance and disappearance of the body with writing and paper. The original wound (the one in the chest, the one of nothingness) is treated with humour and lightness. I strike my body to resurrect it, I paint my body to become paper, I crumple the paper so that it becomes a landscape. I name what I construct: a mountain, a valley, a river. Through play with dance and writing, erasing the object/subject, dead/alive binaries, I propose a choreographic funeral ritual to keep dying eternally and to erotically reincorporate ourselves into the continuity that is inherent to our being. I demand and desire to die on stage, again and again.
